Prof. (Dr.) Vijendra Kumar Jain is a senior neurosurgeon Max Healthcare in New Delhi.
He serves as Principal Director of the Department of Neurosurgery at Max Healthcare.
His medical education began at King George’s Medical College, Lucknow, where he completed his MBBS in 1974.
He completed his MCh in Neurosurgery at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, in 1981.
He undertook a one-year fellowship in microneurosurgery at Fujita Health University, Japan, from 1985 to 1986.
His clinical interests include spine surgery, cerebrovascular surgery and skull-base surgery.
He has also worked in academic and teaching positions at NIMHANS and SGPGIMS, Lucknow.
He served as Chairman of Neurosurgery at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.
He authored Craniovertebral Junction Anomalies – The Indian Experience, published in 1997.
